Meet the Trio con Brio Musicians
Judy Long - keyboard, vocals, clarinet
Judy began piano lessons at the age of 7, started her accompanying career at Liberty Union-Thurston High School when she was 15, and has played professionally for over 35 years. She studied with Helen Hodsden, Loy Kohler, and Richard Lehmann. Judy received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Capital University and her Masters degree from Ashland University. She has taught music at Violet Elementary in Pickerington for almost 20 years.
Candice Casto - cello, vocals, flute
Candice has been playing the cello since 1990, and has been playing professionally for over 10 years. She studied voice with Linda Ebright and cello with Jerrie Cribb and Wendy Morton. Candice played with the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra from 1996 to 1999 and minored in music at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Eric Kirsten - violin
Eric has been performing professionally for 29 years. He started playing the violin in 1969 at the age of 6. At the age of 13, he started performing for the Greensburg-Salem High School (Greensburg, Pa.) musical pit orchestra as the principal violinist. While in high school, Eric was awarded the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Performing Arts scholarship at Bucknell University. He has played with the Westmoreland Youth and Civic Symphonies, the Wilkinsburg Youth and Civic Symphonies, the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony and the West Virginia University Pit and Symphony Orchestras. Eric studied under Paulette Crise, August Kregecz, Eugene Reichenfeld, Dr John Zurfluh and Kypros Markou. He has toured with the Ozanam Strings of Pittsburgh, Pa. and jazz trumpeter Maynard Ferguson.
